About Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet

Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet was established to support ongoing excellence and innovation in community pharmacy, through the attainment of professional, managerial and retail skills. Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet courses are designed to suit the needs of community pharmacy today, emphasising service innovation, leadership and retail development.

Courses are tailored to suit the needs of various members of the community pharmacy team; the pharmacist, pharmacy technician, retail manager and all front of counter staff.

Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet is committed to ensuring continuous professional learning is easily accessible and so offers training courses through various media, the most popular of which is Event Days, held throughout the year in Dublin and Cork. However, as many professionals find it difficult to find the time to attend Event Days, Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet also offers ‘cluster evening events’ and distance learning courses. Cluster evening events are held in a particular locale where a group of individuals have expressed a desire for a specific course, e.g. Selling Skills held in Carlow. Pharmacy Xcelerate Skillnet offers two distance learning solutions; Pharmacy Management Programme and the Retail Supervisors Programme.
